Transition represents change. Change represent an opportunity for a better future. However, there are those who provoke the name of God in their resistance of the election results. While using God’s name they claim God is behind the current president and he should not be removed. I would like to remind you that the same God also allowed Saul to become King. It was also the same God who rejected Saul and removed him from being king. It was Saul’s behavior and attitude after assuming the position of king that caused his demise. I would suggest to those who trust God, that he has not made a mistake. And no matter what we may think or want; God has rejected and removed the king from office by way of 75+ Million votes.
The grieving process is being impeded by a leader who at this time is incapable of transitioning through the Grief/loss process. We are at a point of dishonor and disgrace. The inability to transition has caused trump followers to talk about insurrection and war. It’s truly sad when people will choose power over peace. It’s sad when people place their faith in a man rather than the God they invoke.
The division hate and mistrust in our country has been elevated and exposed. I believe God allowed it so we could take a look at who we are and to give us an opportunity to correct that which is wrong. It starts with an understanding that it is time for change. It’s time to make the transition into a better tomorrow and not repeat the sins of the past. Each of us has a responsibility to seek peace and unity. We should resist the echoes of the past that seek to stymie our future and press for a more perfect union. Liberty and Justice for all.
